One Piece themed Restaurant "Baratie"in tokyo

i am always a big fan of "One Piece"(a Japanese  manga), that is why i was really excited when i saw this one piece themed restaurant in Odaiba, Tokyo.

It locates in the second level of Fuji television building , the entrance literally looks like the front part of Baratie in the manga.

walked in, the interior design is full of one piece themed, and there is also TV on the wall playing how the dished in the menu are related to the one piece manga.

my friend ordered this hamburger  with red cabbage red potatoes  and fried egg, it represents the giant feet from one of the one piece  episode,

i had the thick cut pork steak and the little octopus ball made look like Luffy's hat( Luffy is the main character in one piece)

as mentioned, there is plenty of one piece character model that you can take photo around.
during the lunch, there was a short performance that the guy dressed up as the chef of Baratie - Zeff, he is well-known for his tied mustache. the staff there were very friendly, and they will help you to take photos with Zeff.

Overall, it was an interesting experience for any one piece fan, the food was not too bad , but not great either. the price is not cheaper comparing with any causal dining places.

if you like one piece as i do, i think it is still a good place to visit in Tokyo. Otherwise, there are more options in terms of food in this area.

pablo cheese tart

when i did my research before our japan trip, i came cross this cheese tart or sometimes called cheese cake is a must try in japan. So , on first day arrival of Osaka, i were looking for this Pablo cafe already.
Pablo is a franchised, so you will find in many place in japan. this is just the one i went. i put address down there.

this is the front look of the shop, there are 2 levels, that ground floor is the baking and servicing area, and up level is the seating area. You can either eat there or take away after ordering at the ground floor.

Due to the popularity of the cheese tart, there is often a queue in getting this yummy cake.

they seems to sell cookies or biscuits as well, but i didn't have the chance to try yet. think i have read one of the review that the cookie was a bit too sweet, so i was not keen to try this time.

the seating area on up level is nice and clean, with air conditioned, great for a hot summer day.

we had our dinner just before that, so sharing a cheese tart was more realistic for me and my friend given the cheese tart looks quite massive for a single serving size

it turned out actually very light and running or soft in the center, with house made vanilla ice cream (can see the vanilla seed) and peach flavor jell (not sweet, but full of peach flavor), and such a nice dessert that me and my friends finished it in no time.

I will surly recommend this for whoever going to japan. dont think i have eaten anything like that in Melbourne.
